Rick Kaiser - U.S. Navy 1979-2012

Rick Kaiser joined the U.S. Navy at age 17. He volunteered and was assigned to SEAL Team TWO in Little Creek, VA in 1980. He served at SEAL Team TWO from 1980 until 1985, specializing in winter warfare, combat diving, and sniping until he was selected for duty at SEAL Team SIX in 1985.
In 1993, Rick received the Silver Star Medal for Valor during the Battle of Mogadishu (Black Hawk Down). He served at ST-6 from 1985 through October of 2012. During his time at ST-6, Rick acted as sniper, explosives expert, lead training Chief, sniper team leader, and Deputy Operations Officer.

Bryan Blomquist - U.S. Army 1970-73

Bryan enlisted in U.S. Army in 1970 where he served a tour in Vietnam as a Vietnamese Interpreter - Hanoi dialect - with the Army Security Agency in both Camp Eagle and Phu Bai. After the Army, Bryan was appointed to Lynbrook, NY Police Dept July of 1974, promoted to Sgt in 1984, Lieutenant in 1989, and retired in August of 2011. Bryan is currently the president of Long Island Sled Hockey, Inc.

Jahira Sepulveda - U.S. Army 2005-14

Sgt. Jahira Sepulveda served in the U.S. Army from 2005-2014.  Sgt. Sepulveda trained as a Water Purification Specialist but was retrained to be a Military Prison Guard while on deployment in Iraq. During her 9 years in the military she also worked with the Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and in recruitment.

Art Culver - U.S. Navy 1960-66

When he was 12 years old, Art Culver started to make models of airplanes and fell in love with flying. He applied to both the Air Force and Navy after he got out of school and was accepted by both. He picked the Navy because he wanted to serve on a carrier and he says he liked the uniform. He did over a hundred combat missions in Vietnam before leaving the Navy and then taking a job with American Airlines as a pilot.

Carroll Oates - U.S. Army 1969-2007

Carroll Oates joined the Army in 1969 and retired as a Lt. Colonel in 2007. He was deployed to both England and Germany as part of the US Army Medical Command Depot Support Team. As a Reserve Major he was deployed to Honduras as Company Commander of the Medical Team for MedRets. Oates was called back to active duty in 1991 and deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm where he served as Executive Officer of two Field Medical Units. He was awarded a Bronze Star, a Meritorious Service Medal and 4 Army Commendation Medals. He is on the Board of the Indian River County Veterans's Council and 2nd Vice President of the Indian River County Military Officers Association.

Nicholas Mangano - U.S. Army 2013-17

Sgt. Nicholas Mangano grew up on Long Island, NY and joined the U.S. Army in 2013. Nick served with the 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Benning, Georgia and was stationed in Jalalabad, Afghanistan as well as South Korea and Germany. Nick retired from the Army in 2017 and currently is a member of Airborne Tri Team, a non-for-profit organization providing war veterans with opportunities, physical challenges and goal oriented physical achievements to maximize their potential and increase their self-esteem all by being part of a team. airbornetriteam.org
