Congressman Brian Mast served as a Staff Sergeant is a U.S. Army for more than 12 years. Brian served with the 28th Ordnance Company and was deployed to Afghanistan as a bomb disposal expert with the Joint Special Operations Command. In 2010 he was wounded in Kandahar clearing a path for Army Rangers and the explosion resulted in the lost of both his legs.

Patrick Willamson - U.S. Army 2002-08

Patrick Williamson joined the Indiana National Guard Sept. 2002 in his junior year at High School. Patrick was deployed to Iraq in 2005 with the 113th Combat Engineer Battalion of the Indiana National Guard. He left the Guard in 2008. He is currently involved with the Next Generation Group of Veterans in Indian River County and the Veterans Council of Indian River.

Telly Antona - U.S. Army 1991-97

Telly Antona joined the U.S. Army while she was still in High School on the Army's delayed entry program and served 6 years and an additional year in the reserves. Telly served in the motor pool at Camp Kyle Korea and with central issues, supplying all the personnel at Fort Campbell KY for the 101st Airborne. Telly currently is involved with Habitat for Humanity and also a group of younger Veterans Net Gen in Vero Beach FL.

Marty Zickert - U.S. Air Force 1962-92

Marty Zickert is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel who spent over 30 years in the Air Force and Tennessee National Guard. Col. Zickert worked in Strategic Air Command (SAC) and flew as a navigator aboard KC-135 KC 135 tankers, RC135s, C124s and flew F4 fighters during the Vietnam War. After the Vietnam War Col. Zickert continued to work for SAC with the U.S. Military's strategic nuclear strike forces in the Philippines, Germany and United States.

Harold Granitur - U.S. Army 1943-45

Harold "Granny" Granitur was born in Newark NJ in 1925. Harold was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1943 and originally served with the 90th Infantry Division of the 1st Army. He landed in France on June 8, 1944 (D-Day +2) and eventually was transferred to General Patton's 3rd Army to support the Battle of the Bulge.

Jim Cady - U.S. Army Air Corps WWII

Happy 101th Birthday to Jim Cady. Jim served as a bombardier with the U.S. Army Air Corps 449th Air Group during WWII and flew 21 missions in Italy before being transferred to the 8th Air Force in England as support for the D-Day Invasion. Jim Cady was born in Peoria, Illinois on October 5th, 1917.
