Happy Birthday to the Navy SEALs! The first Navy SEAL teams were established on Jan 1, 1962, however; they also direct their lineage to the Navy UDT created during WWII. Grant Mann serve with SEAL team 5 and 6 during his 34 years of military service and is currently the Executive Director of the National Navy UDT/SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida.

During World War II he served as a Gunner on a torpedo plane in the Pacific. He fought in the Battle of Okinawa and his ship, the Natoma Bay, was was hit by the last kamikaze attack on a USN carrier in the war.
