#22PAC PTSD Awareness Challenge

The 22 PTSD Awareness Challenge is a 22 mile cross-sound kayak event that creates community awareness of the alarming Veterans suicide rate. Every single day, 22 veterans take their own lives. That’s 22 suicides a day, a suicide every 65 minutes. As shocking as that number is, the real number may be higher. This annual event starts in Bridgeport, CT, and ends in Port Jefferson, NY. The goal is bring together Veterans and Veteran related non-profits in a public setting to help them raise money and promote their services to as many veterans as possible.
