Marisel Munoz Fibo served in the Puerto Rico, Air National Guard with the 156th Airlift Wing from 1997 to 2008 when she was discharged as a E-7 Master Sergeant. Growing up a granddaughter of a WWII veteran and daughter of a Vietnam veteran Marisel was drawn to service from hearing her grandfather’s stories.

While on active duty Marisel started having medical issues and panic attacks and was eventually medically discharged.
After her discharge a 156th Airlift Wing C-130 crashed outside Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport killing everyone onboard, including airmen that Marisel knew and had served with. This had a huge impact on her.
Today Marisel is living a productive life thanks to her service dog Honcho who she received from Dogs For Life located in Vero Beach, FL.
