USA Warrior Stories has lost a friend and honored veteran working with us in Vero Beach Florida, Martin “ MARTY ” Zickert - Col. U.S.A.F. (Ret.) Col. Marty Zickert passed way on 7/02/2023 unexpectedly.
USA Warrior Stories owes a great debt of gratitude to Col. Marty Zickert for his help and collaboration over the past 5 years assisting us to produce and promote our local Florida Veteran's Stories, Events, and Veteran’s Programs.
Through his contributing efforts and support he helped us introduce USA Warrior Stories not only to the Vero Beach area but throughout the country via the USA Warrior Stories website and social media.
We've been fortunate and proud to have called Marty a good friend and neighbor, our thoughts and best wishes go out to his family, friends and the many Veteran’s he served and worked with as well as helped.

Marty Zickert is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel who spent over 30 years in the Air Force and Tennessee National Guard. Col. Zickert worked in Strategic Air Command (SAC) and flew as a navigator aboard KC-135 KC 135 tankers, RC135s, C124s and flew F4 fighters during the Vietnam War. After the Vietnam War Col. Zickert continued to work for SAC with the U.S. Military's strategic nuclear strike forces in the Philippines, Germany and United States.
