The Purple Heart Cane Project is a nonprofit organization that recognizes and honors recipients of the Purple Heart Medal by presenting eagle headed / Purple Heart Cane to Veterans. Each cane is decorated with a combat wounded Veteran’s name, rank, unit and awards they earned while in service. The Purple Heart canes are presented once a year at a ceremony that is held at the National SEAL Museum at no charge and with our utmost gratitude. Indian River Woodcarvers Association is a not-for-profit organization whose members carve and donate Eagle Head canes to Purple Heart Veterans. They present the canes at a ceremony every year held at the Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida.
