The Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida featured an exclusive art exhibition highlighting the art work of Naval Special Operators. The Art of the Operator – celebrates the creative expression of America’s elite operators.
Showcasing artwork of all mediums–including metalwork, charcoal, ink, oil, pastel, acrylic, poetry, photography, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, glasswork, assemblage, fabrication, woodworking, digital illustration, and mixed media – this exhibition will offer an inspiring platform for special operators to share their artistry and stories beyond the their time in service.

Ross Rowlinson researches and tells the story of how the flag from the iconic Firemen Raising the Flag at Ground Zero photo wound up at Ground Zero, was lost, recovered and eventually donated to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York City.
