John Fenech - U.S. Coast Guard 1984-89

John Fenech served as a Fireman in the United States Coast Guard from 1984-89. John spent most of his career serving aboard the USCG Cutter Dallas. The mission of the USCGC Dallas was law enforcement, search & rescue, and fisheries patrol. In 1986 the USCGC was the on-scene commander of the Space Shuttle Challenger recover mission. After his time on the USCGC Dallas John served at Coast Guard Station Shinnecock in Long Island, NY. After retiring from the Coast Guard John has continued to give back to the Veterans community by serving as Ride Captain for the Patriot Guard Riders a 100% Volunteer, federally registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which ensures dignity and respect at memorial services honoring Fallen Military Heroes, First Responders and honorably discharged Veterans.
