Vietnam Veterans Day 2025 Ceremony Sebastian FL
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10210, American Legion Post 189 and the Sebastian Area Veterans Honor Guard commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War with guest speaker Sylvester McIntosh.
Sylvester McIntosh was born In Wabasso, Fl. In 1947. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1965 and rose to the rank of Sgt. First Class. During his time in the Marines, he served in
Vietnam where he received a Silver Star Medal for Gallantry in Action and a Purple Heart Medal for his injuries.
Sylvester married his wife, Dorothy, Wile in the service. They now have 4 children, 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.
After leaving the service Sylvester continued his education to achieve a Doctorate in Religious Education. Along with a career in the USPS he served for 33 years as a licensed Minister in the Church of God and became an Ordained Bishop in 1986.
Sylvester has dedicated his life to helping others and continues to serve the Church, our Veterans, and the people of his community.
He is also an honored member of the Sebastian Area Veterans Honor Guard.
