Veterans Suicide Awareness & Prevention Walkathon

The 5th annual WALK-A-THON for Military/Veterans Suicide Awareness was on November 5, 2023 in Riverside Park, Vero Beach FL. This event was hosted by the American Gold Star Mothers of Indian River County to bring awareness to and help end the estimated 22 Veterans suicides that happen daily in the United States. This annual event is held the Sunday before Veterans Day and is combined with a Veteran's Resources Expo. Veterans, families and friends are encouraged to come out to raise awareness of this tragic circumstance and learn about programs, discounts, businesses and organizations are available for Veterans and their families.
