Chris Zimbardi - U.S. Army 1989-2012

Jimmy Jackson joined the Army in 2003 right after his 17th birthday and was deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was part of the 2nd Infantry Division,3rd Brigade, 23rd Infantry and stationed mostly in Mosul. After leaving the military in 2007, with the rank of Specialist E4, Jimmy wrestled with PTSD but discovered a new mission by founding a non-profit organization called “Do You Give a Ruck?’ that organizes ruck marches to fundraise for veterans causes and to raise awareness of the problems veterans face adjusting back into civilian life. Chris Zimbardi - U.S. Army 1989-2012

Chris Zimbardi joined the delayed entry program in 1989 eventually serving as a Armor Officer in the National Guard. After September 11th Chris joined an Army Reserve training unit. In Iraq Chris served at FOB Sykes and Fort Tal Afar with the 311 MIT and was assigned as an advisor to an Iraqi unit and spent time in Duhok, a large city in Northwestern Kurdistan. Over his 23 year career Chis had numerous jobs in the Army including working as a Financial Operations Officer in Iraq. Chis was medically retired in 2012 as a Captain.
