Major Michael J. Jordan served with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves form 1979-2002 and again from 2004-2006. He joined the Marines right after his 18th birthday and when he graduated from college he was commissioned as a second lieutenant. Mike was deployed for Desert Storm and also the Iraq War after 9/11. Michael is extremely proud of his service and recalls being present when women were allowed to vote for the first time in Iraq. He now works for the American Red Cross as the Vice President of Humanitarian Services for the Pacific Division. He is also a Gold Star Father. Michael’s son Travis M. Jordan served in the U.S. Air Force and sadly took his own life in 2016.
