Julius Duhl - U.S. Army 1943-45
Julius Duhl joined the Army as a Combat Photograph in the Signal Corps in 1943. He landed in Normandy and followed the tanks shooting film of the combat through France and into the Battle of the Bulge. He served until 1945 and after his service opened his own studio and stayed active in photography and films.

Happy 100th Birthday to Frank Loglisci, born March 2, 1921. Frank served aboard the USS Caldwell and The USS Gyatt. While serving on the USS Caldwell Frank manned a 40mm gun and served as a baker.
During a low altitude night bombing mission Clarence “Press” Pressgrove and his crew were shot down and became P.O.W.’s in Japan’s Omori prison camp. Press was liberated on Aug 29, 1945 just days before the official end of WWII, Sep 2, 1945.
