Walter Harford - U.S. Navy Armed Guard 1943-45
Water Harford joined the Navy in 1943 and was assigned to the Navy Armed Guard. The Armed Guard were a division of the U.S. Navy and manned guns on Merchant Marine ships bringing supplies to the Allies. Those ships came under almost constant attack from enemy submarines and planes. Walter served onboard both tankers and cargo ships in the Atlantic.

Happy 100th Birthday to Frank Loglisci, born March 2, 1921. Frank served aboard the USS Caldwell and The USS Gyatt. While serving on the USS Caldwell Frank manned a 40mm gun and served as a baker.
