Sgt. Jahira Sepulveda served in the U.S. Army from 2005-2014. Sgt. Sepulveda trained as a Water Purification Specialist but was retrained to be a Military Prison Guard while on deployment in Iraq. Carroll Oates joined the Army in 1969 and retired as a Lt. Colonel in 2007. He was deployed to both England and Germany as part of the US Army Medical Command Depot Support Team. As a Reserve Major he was deployed to Honduras as Company Commander of the Medical Team for MedRets. Oates was called back to active duty in 1991 and deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm where he served as Executive Officer of two Field Medical Units. He was awarded a Bronze Star, a Meritorious Service Medal and 4 Army Commendation Medals. He is on the Board of the Indian River County Veterans's Council and 2nd Vice President of the Indian River County Military Officers Association.

Patrick Williamson joined the Indiana National Guard Sept. 2002 in his junior year at High School. Patrick was deployed to Iraq in 2005 with the 113th Combat Engineer Battalion of the Indiana National Guard. He left the Guard in 2008. He is currently involved with the Next Generation Group of Veterans in Indian River County and the Veterans Council of Indian River.
